Hi Rob. Interesting idea on North to South. I'm looking at Murmansk by train at present via Copenhagen - Stockholm - Helsinki - St Petersburg route. Could get down to Turkey or even North Africa from there through Ukraine (?!). May give Croatia a whirl next month. Very Best Matthew

Hi Matthew, Just arrived home from a road trip down through Switzerland, Italy, Albania to Montenegro, which was fantastic. Back through Croatia, which is wonderful ( can't get rail to Dubrovnik - but Split is possible ) . Saw A bit more of S
Ovenia and Vienna on the way back before putting our mini on the night train to Dusseldorf! We spent some of the journey getting excited about a future Trans Sib trip! - we shall need you advice ! Enjoy the trip Matthew. I always fancied boat from Istanbul to Odessa then train to St Petersburg. Then back on a boat via Sweden. Just a suggestion.

Rob
